Nasdaq 100 Market Cap Surges $3.5T Amid 9.3% Rally
Nasdaq 100 market capitalization increased by $3.5 trillion with a 9.3% index gain in four days, driven by strong AI earnings and broad tech sector recovery.
Woofun AI reports that the Nasdaq 100 index rose by 9.3% over a four-day period, marking its strongest rally since April 2025. This surge added $3.5 trillion to the index's total market capitalization, fueled by robust second-quarter earnings that reinforced investor confidence in artificial intelligence prospects.
The rally extended across semiconductor, software, and large-scale data center operators. David Rainville, chief manager of the Sycomore Sustainable Tech fund, stated, "The days when investors would short sell those with high capital expenditure needs... are over." Investors now favor companies demonstrating tangible AI-related revenue, showing caution toward those with less clear benefits.
