Woofun AI reports that AI infrastructure provider Fireworks AI has finalized a $1.5 billion financing round, establishing a post-money valuation of $17.5 billion. The investment was led by Atreides Management, Index Ventures, and TCV, with existing backers NVIDIA, Evantic, and Lightspeed Venture Partners participating. Fireworks delivers cloud-based services for executing open-source AI models, enabling enterprises to deploy applications cost-effectively. The platform currently handles approximately 40 trillion AI tokens per day, serving clients including Elastic, GitLab, and MongoDB. While the AI coding tool Cursor previously generated over half of total revenue, the company’s client base has since expanded significantly.
